Controller v0.21-beta

Howdy Simuers!

Here is the 0.21 version. It does not bring any big feature and you will not notice any interface changes, but this version is more stable and brings better performance.

CAREFUL: you need to validate your license again by clicking the Validate button on the config page.


rpi-imager v1.9.6 has a known issue with wifi.
Please use prior version here.

Better platform stability at boot and calibration:

  • Stable Calibration Process
    • The calibration procedure has been revised to ensure greater reliability.
    • ​No more little jumps when searching for encoder index
      • After an index search, the motor will hold its position instead of releasing. The motor will be released after a homing
  • No more unwanted movement at boot
    • The system will no longer attempt automatic encoder calibration at boot
    • Encoder calibration will only occur when manually triggered or before homing if necessary


Offline License

  • Internet is no more needed at each boot
      • License will be checked through Internet only the first time you enter it and at every software update
      • A certificate will remain on the raspberry for memory.
    • No more dependency to a server
      • This means that even if the license server is not accessible for any reason, your controller will continue to work


    Lower System Latency

    • The stream buffer is now auto-adaptive depending on your network jitter
    • The buffer was previously set to 20ms to absorb network jitter, which was already unperceptive. It will now auto-adjust as low as 2ms when possible.


    More Robust Spik​e Filter

    • The spike filter scale has been extended for more precise control

    --> Please adjust your value: Divide your old spike filter percentage by 1.75 (example: 70% becomes 40%) for the same effect than before.
